Recognizing the one time opportunity to capture your treasured memories, Album of Life utilizes experienced, professional videographers, designers and editors. They are highly trained to assure impressive and reliable results.
Album of LIfe takes care to use professional quality cameras, microphones and related equipment. We routinely have a back-up plan to the back-up plan so an unexpected difficulty won't seriously impact the production. That is why we don't offer a single-camera option and always use multiple microphones, as well. Our stable of equipment is tested and maintained regularly.

by Mike McGready, Creative Director and Owner, Album of Life video studios
I was bitten. About 13 years ago, I did a 2-camera (vhs) shoot and edited it as a wedding present for some casual friends. That seemingly innocent experience changed my life. I finally knew what I wanted to be when I grew up! Goodbye Purchasing Management career, hello multimedia!
Why did that experience of capturing a few hours on tape have such an impact? The answer to that question also describes my philosophy of wedding videography. The process I went through was akin to reading the best of novels. I not only came to have an intimate knowledge of the bride and groom's personality, I learned their family relationships and who they were close to. Details of their lives unfolded in toasts, comments interviews and dance. This wasn't just an event. It was an experience as unique as the fingerprint on the bride's ring-finger.
Having been allowed to witness all of this, I felt a special satisfaction in being able to preserve this Life Hub moment for them and their loved ones. So many lives shared and celebrated this couple's milestone commitment to each other. Their wedding story didn't start that morning and won't be over with the honeymoon. For the bride and groom, every day of each of their lives led up to the minute they vowed what was in their hearts. Their hope for the future framed their life to come. Did my camera record all of this? Will my edit reveal all of this?
For some, any excuse is enough to throw a party. For me, it is all about having a reason to celebrate and the right people to share the joy. Jesus saved his first miracle for the Wedding at Cana and you know He had his priorities right!
Nuclear fusion is beyond my comprehension but the combination of a lifelong commitment, the closest of family, dear friends and sentimental tradition produces a relationship reactor at a reception that is equally powerful.
Capture all of that! When the bride's voice breaks with emotion or the groom whispers, "you look beautiful", capture all of that! When their eyes are doing all of the talking, capture all of that! When the Father-of-the-bride beams with pride as he leads his little girl onto the dance floor, capture all of that! When the Mother-of-the-bride lets loose to show she still has the moves, capture all of that! When the Best Man tells tales uncovering why they are such friends, capture all of that! When Great Great Grandma Angela bestows her heavily accented blessing on the newlyweds, capture every nuance of that!
Preserve and reveal all of that! Half the task is the capture. The harder task is to reveal all of that treasure of emotion in the edit. The tinsel on a Yule tree, hides the beauty of the tree itself. A wedding doesn't need tinsel and lights to radiate its story. It is lit from within. The editor's mission should be to reveal what is special about this bride and groom's life hub event. Every cut should serve that goal. Every transition and filter should be chosen with that goal in mind. No transition or filter should be used that doesn't help reveal their tale. The music should lift up the feelings of the moment and not become the focus of attention.
If the couple relives the emotion of their day as they watch the fruits of my labor, that's when my task is complete.
